Remembering Mother Montgomery

Loving and affectionately referred to Rev. Ron as Ronnie
Whenever she spoke to the congregation she always said "I am the Mother of this church, that means that all of yawl is my children."
You could always hear her say, "God's been good to me"

Mother Montgomery was one of the founders of our church...over 25 years ago, she along with other members marched from Chancellor Avenue (Wendy's) to our present local. She loved her church and was present every Sunday with her church outfit on and a hat to match.

She lived a life that was pleasing to God and set an example for all of us. One of her ministries was singing. Her down home tunes really took you way back and we were all excited when she was handed the microphone.
